Yesterday we had plans to hang out and paint our friend’s house. I wanted to wear something comfy, but still cute.
I started with my favorite pair of Loft jeans (which I have to replace soon because they’re too big, but they’re seriously awesome and I’ll link the same jeans in a different wash above).
I wore an athleisure shirt I thrifted mostly because I loved the cool colors and it fit really well. I can’t find the same one I have online, but here are a few similar options:
Over that, I layered a new sweatshirt from Everlane, which is an awesome company if you’ve never heard of them! Their products are made sustainably, responsibly, and at a price that’s incredibly affordable compared to what else is on the market. I loved this sweatshirt and I highly recommend it for a fun, comfy piece to add to your wardrobe. It’s a good example of investing in something comfortable, but cute, making sure you have things for the days when you want to dress down but not dim your style sparkle!
For accessories, I added my new Yearly Co. bangles which I’m obsessed with since I got them the other day in the mail. They’re all handmade and you should check out their website to learn more about their history and why they’re such a good gift this holiday season plus for an anniversary and/or special occasion. I bought three: The Original Gold Bangle, The Twist, and finally, The Monogram with my wedding date (12-26-18). They are sold out through Christmas, but you can definitely shop them in the new year plus start making a wish list now.
I also added my favorite AG Ambroult earrings. Though, she no longer has the same one’s in her shop, she has a great selection to browse. It’s so worth investing in handmade jewelry, I think. I like owning a few pieces that I can mix and match with from pieces from Goodwill or costume jewelry, but I also love supporting independent artists, especially women-owned businesses.
It ended up being a rainy, dreary afternoon, but I was comfortable, warm, and felt confident even when my anxiety came to a head. What I love about my wardrobe is that nothing feels too precious. I got paint on my coat and shoes and I’m okay with it. They’re pieces that serve their purposes and feel like they can get a little rough and tumble without taking away from how they make feel!
Happy Monday friends. I hope it’s a good week for you!
